Canine College Reviews
Charlotte
"I just wanted to take a moment and say thank you for working with Charlotte.
We're doing very well and her behavior has drastically changed. Our walks are much more pleasant and making her think and concentrate certainly does tire her out more then a really long walk ever did. We have encountered a few dogs on our walks and by using what you taught me we've avoided some confrontations.
I actually took her to a new Doggie Daycare place today for an evaluation and she did wonderful. I have to be in DC for some long days in the coming weeks and didn't want to keep her in her crate for 8 or more hours, so I found a closer facility (I was originally taking her all the way out to Fairfax Station) and must admit was a little nervous about her initial evaluation. I walked in with her (on her leash that you gave us) and she was just fine. There was even a gentleman that came in with his dog while we were waiting at the counter and the employee took both Charlotte and the other dog by their leashes and walked them to the back room with no problems. And, much to my surprise, Charlotte properly greeted the other dog without any coaching from me! She will only be doing Doggie Daycare a few times a month, just as you recommended, but I was so happy to see that she had absolutely no aggression problems.
Charlotte, as I'm sure you can tell, is a large part of my life and I had thought for so long that she was a lost cause, but after having her trained by you and keeping up on all that we have learned I truly think she is not only more well behaved but happier! We still have lots to do and keeping her focused is something I have to keep on top of everyday, but she is really, really improving."

Bella
"Just a quick note to let you know that the stress in our house has been cut in half by a well behaved dog. We loved Bella from the minute we got her, and did train her ourselves to sit and lay down. BUT, there were some difficult behaviors that we were unable to stop--including laying on our kitchen table, scratching frantically at the back door, shredding every piece of paper she found, picking up every little lego piece on the floor, chewing rugs, socks, underware, and any thing left on the floor, and the worst is she refused to come when called. Hence, she lived in the kitchen, blocked off from the rest of the family for one year. I was very unhappy about that because I wanted her to be part of the family, but I did not want my house ruined by a dog wih no manners.
After five days with you, (each day was torture for my children because they missed her so much) Bella returned to us a changed dog. Now, she can't come QUICKLY enough when I call her. She has tried some of her old tricks, very unsuccessfully. When my husband saw her on the kitchen table, he told her to get down--she couldn't move quickley enough. She has NEVER scratched the back door to come in. She waits patiently until I get her. My children are thrilled to have Bella be able to be in their bedrooms with them, and she is just wonderful company now.
I'll wait the 30 days you asked me to before getting another dog, but the new dog will not come home until she's been trained by you!"

Jasmine
"Ever since I laid eyes on Jayme's facility about (two-and-a-half) years ago, I knew my Vizsla, Jasmine, would love it here. The fenced in 5 shaded acres are perfect for my active dog, and she loooves to stretch out those legs! The fact that Jayme's clients don't have to pay extra for "play time" or extra walks is a God-send. And Jasmine gets (in) the all important socialization. And when I come to pick up Jasmine, she's happily tuckered out. Tired dog = happy dog! Add to that Jayme's extensive background and experience with canines, gives me complete peace of mind and no worries when I drop my "furry" child off for a little while. For the past 2.5 years, it's been nothing but caring professionalism! Thanks Jayme!"

Trilby
"Jayme, Thank you so much for taking such good care of Trilby for the past couple of weeks. I was grateful to hear he was having fun playing. It put my mind at ease. I on the other hand had a bad case of separation anxiety!"

Houston
"We have been very delighted with all that Canine College has to offer. We started out with canine College from a referral over ten years ago with our first Golden retriever, Cobi. Not having ever trained a dog, [Canine College] did a wonderful job in just one short week. We also found that taking Cobi to Canine College was also a benefit. Whether it was for one day, a couple days or even two weeks, that Cobi was in the best hands. He actually looked forward to "going back to college" as he would jump out of the car and run to the fence when we would drop him off.
Our newest puppy, Houston, is finding the same success. We were having a little trouble getting Houston to obey us and settle down. Again after one short week, Houston demonstrated much success. He too loves gong to college.
I guess the best part about Canine College is that they have always been very flexible with our schedule. Besides the great training both of our dogs have received, we also know that they are in good hands whenever they are at Canine College, whatever it is for training purposes or boarding purposes. I am so thankful that we have found them."

Charlie
"I believed that having someone come into my home and take personal care of my four dogs would be better for them, but after many attempts trying to make this work, I gave up. My dogs were not getting the attention they needed while I was away, and coming home to the mess in my house just was not worth it!
I have been a client of Jayme and the Canine College for over two years. Jayme has taken great care of my menagerie - Buster and Charlie, Jack Russell's, Maxie the Cairn terrier and Genny the Doberman! Charlie was the old lady of the bunch at 13 years old and needed some special attention. Jayme always made sure that Charlie was taken care of, to the point of getting to sleep with the family in the house! Even though Charlie was fragile, I never worried about leaving her with Jayme, knowing she was getting as much if not more TLC while away from home. The rest of the pack loves getting to visit the Canine College and the best part is that Genny, the two year old Doberman comes back better behaved!!
I would recommend Jayme and the Canine College to anyone who loves their dogs like family, because that is how Jayme is with them. It is great when I leave on a vacation; the dogs are getting a vacation too - at the Canine College!"

Tina
"I book with Canine College before I book my flights. Tina stays with Jayme for several weeks at a time throughout the year and I wouldn't think of leaving her with anyone else. Thanks for taking such good care of Tina. It shows!"

Titan
"From the moment that I met Jayme and visited her home I have known nothing but professionalism and caring, not only for me but for Titan. When I realized I was being deployed to Iraq I was unsure of what would become of my German Shepherd Titan. I didn't want to burden my family, nor did I want to give him up. After calling boarding homes and kennels I found the perfect answer to my problem, Canine College. With having to worry about so many other things while working in Iraq it is nice to know that Titan is well cared for and being trained by a kind and caring individual. Thank you again Jayme for what you have done for me and Titan."

Roxy
"Roxy loves Canine College! She enjoys playing with all of the friends she makes during her stay. Roxy has learned so much from Canine College's obedience class. She is such a happy dog whether I am dropping her off or picking her up. Canine College is the only place I feel comfortable leaving my four legged baby."
