March, 2010. My name is Foxy and I am believed to be a Red Border Collie. My family rescued me about 5 years ago from being taken to the shelter. My situation is this, I don’t like dogs. I know! Can you believe it? I’m a dog andI don’t like dogs. Ironic, right? I have a great family who has loved me, put up with me and my attitude for a long time and after taking me to a trainer and spending lots of money on me, we all came to the realization that I need to move out. I need to find a home where I can be happy and less stressed and less stimulated. See the thing is I get over stimulated easily and the other dog in my family who has been a part of the family for 8 years gets a lot of grief from me. I only like to be loved on my terms but when I love, it’s a treat for my family. I have been told, by more than a few that I am quite the beauty. And well, I have to agree.
Let’s get right to the point. I’m special and I need someone willing to work with me who has no other dogs or furry critters for me to be over stimulated by and no young children. (Let’s face it they tend to scream and run around the house, and bounce a lot of balls and it all gets me all worked up and with no way to communicate to them that they are freaking me out I go after the other dog in my family. (Her name is Katie by the the way) I do great on farms. I’m a natural! After all it’s in my blood. I love to run, chase cows, and most of all swim in ponds (that’s my most favorite) I’d make a good farm dog, as long as I’m the only dog. I need a one dog farm/home. My parents love me and tried their hardest to make things right, but they felt it was too much stress on all of us and felt it would not be fair to me to keep me in a crate all day or muzzled. I thank them for that. My mom and dad have the trainers name and number so you can check up on me. And Blue Ridge has been my vet since I moved up here from Florida 5 years ago.
To quote ABBA, Take a Chance on Me. I’m one in a million. Please call my Mom or Dad at 540-338-2813. Everyone deserves a second chance. Right?
